Nothobranchius guentheri Zanzibar

BG Granier, the person who gave me the eggs, likes to call the Notho guentheri "Elephant Dodgers." In their natural habitats, wild elephants bathe in the ponds where the fish live, hence the nickname. The guentheri is a good beginner's fish as their eggs are easy to hatch and the fry easy to raise. Males are aggressive towards each other. To protect themselves from getting "whacked" all the time, smaller males sometimes pretend to be females by hiding their colours.
