Austrolebias nigripinnis de Carmelo

A magnificent killifish, the Austrolebias nigripinnis came as eggs sent by my dear friend, Shireen Gonzaga. A peat diver, the fish will dive head first down into peat moss to lay eggs. Don't ask me how they manage to find each other under all that peat though. Incubation time for their eggs is about 6 weeks when stored in temperatures of 29 degrees Centigrade. Males are very aggressive towards each other and will fight to the death if kept in the same tank.
